The town of Amalfi is located in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of Italy. Located in the heart of Amalfi, at the top of a staircase, is Saint Andrew's Cathedral which overlooks the Piazza Duomo. Dating back to the 11th century, the cathedral's interior is of a Baroque style and has a nave and two aisles divided by 20 columns. In contrast to the interior, the cathedral's exterior has a Byzantine style with a number of paintings of saints, including a large fresco of Saint Andrew.
