"Bad weather "
I travelled in this ship in October 2012. The return trip to Ibiza was horrible. The ship was moving a lot. The journey to Palma was perfect. Vert comfortable too. Also delayed.
"Palma by ferry to Denia "
Very punctual from and arrival in Denia, everything perfect.
"Palma by ferry to Denia "
Very punctual from and arrival in Denia, everything perfect.
"Boat trip"
Satisfied with everything, nice journey.
"Perfect crossing "
Perfect crossing without any complaint.
"Ferry from Denia to Ibiza"
We took the ferry from Denia to Ibiza. It left and arrived on time. Service was very good. I wish there had been some outside space where you could watch the journey but that would be my only negative comment. Would thoroughly recommend.
"Answer "
A decent crossing. A quick boarding and disembarkment
"Short trip from Palma - class alternative "
Ferry drove exactly on time, the staff was very friendly and attentive, the ship was clean and the facilities adequate, the food could be supplemented by fresh fruits, unfortunately, the loud sound of the television in the 1st class was too bright, would be here head-sets appropriate. The ferry can be seen at any time recommend.
"Palma-Ibiza "
OK
"Rapid crossing "
Fast ferry to Ibiza, fast processing, Exit in Ibiza went on for an hour because only a narrow gangway had to be suspended. The walkways were not yet in operation.
"great"
I found the crossing super good, since I have to struggle with seasickness, but I had no problems on this ride. Become acuh book it again and again. Just a great crossing. staff very nice.
"Great trip"
I really enjoyed it, it was a great trip from Palma to Ibiza.
"Ferry Denia - Ibiza "
Was a good thing., The staff helpful, comfortable armchairs. On time.
"Palma to Ibiza "
We had a very efficient crossing. We where in the Neptune cabin, and there was plenty of choice of seats. The only downside was a lack of a lift both up/down, which makes handling large luggage difficult. Additionally, and this is no fault of anyone but the parents, there was an uncontrollable child running amock for 2 hours. Otherwise good value for money.
"Trip from Ibiza to Denia"
We had a very comfortable and relaxing trip. Highly recommended way to travel. There was plenty of leg room on the seats which were a generous size. There were plenty of toilets and facilities to buy drinks, snacks and gifts. We also has a movie. It was better than flying. We were also given assistance with our luggage on and off the ferry.
"The Palma de Mallorca trip "
The trip was good, with nice service. I will recommend it.
"Daily delays "
I want to complain about the delays on the journey Denia - Palma. I don't understand if the journey actually lasts 6.5h, they advertise it as 5.5h. There were unnnecesary delays and for what I gathered from other passengers it was not a one time thing but more like a daily thing.
"Excellent trip"
This summer we travelled on the route Denia-Ibiza-Formentera and return. Both, on the phone and at the check-in, staff has been helpful. On board, the ferry was clean. All ferries were on time. I would recommend it.
"Children"
Why is it that some parents cannot control their children or even worse cause them to make a nuisance of themselves by tickling them or playing with them so that they scream. Surely the staff should have some say in the matter. Apart from the out of control children the trip was first class.
"Denia to Ibiza and back"
To Ibiza: I was charged with extra 150 EUR because I had a jetbag on the top of the car. Aircon did not work on board, so it was hot and no air inside. The loading unloading of the car was smooth and quick, the trip itself was nice. To Denia: Ferry was late more than half an hour.
"Assesment to our ferry voyage"
Everything was perfect thanks a lot.
"Criticism"
It was hot and the televisors were not working. Te seats were broken. Unfortunately, we don't have a choice.
"Ship (Federico Garcia Lorca) looked better from outside"
Timely departure, but late (+30 min) arrival. Some staff members are rather rude.
"Good service from directferries.nl"
The website directferries.nl provides a clear overview of all available ships and departure times, including fares. Making a reservation is very easy, just like the ticket collection at the port. Unfortunately the port of Ibiza does not square with the port available on the internet, the ferry departs from Marina Botafoch. This is something you have know/ask the locals. Other than that very satisfied with the service and ship.
"A short trip"
I travelled in july and I was really satisfied by all.
"No info "
Hello, The trip itself was fine. When booking, but was not stated that the resident-ID is not enough and you need a certificate from the municipal to get the discount for residents. The notice is then read at the counter, but then it's too late and you have to pay full price. This always leads to discussions on the switch and most customers are dissatisfied, like I did. Sincerely, Mike Stöffel
"Great holiday"
We had a good trip from Palma to Denia, all went to plan, one question is there anyway you can print your tickets off as I booked it all online then had to wait in line to get our boarding passes, but a good service other than that.
"Comfort and speed "
It is so much better going with your car to Ibiza than by plane. The trip was not heavy and the entrance and exit of the ship was very quick.
"Denia - Ibiza by car "
More than 10 years of regular trips with Balearia, this year again smooth, fast and punctual clearance and crossing. When traveling with a car on the ferry, which has rel. high temporal and unfortunately widely varying prices to pay.
"Palma di Maiorca-Ibiza trip"
Excellent service and ferry well kept with very clean toilets. Only flaw was that after the movie projection we watched the same commercials at least 8/10 times.
"Excellent treatment "
My experience in general has been very positive. Good punctuality and excellent treatment. I was with two children in the playing and they looked after us very well. On the way back, I sufferd some sea sickness and somebody came to help me in next no time.
"A bit of shade"
There was not a single area with shade in Denia and Ibiza's embark's zone, where the temperatures could rise up to 40 degrees. For all passengers it was an obvious discomfort having to wait in these conditions but it was even worse for those Balearics workers that have to spend the entire working day in that area. I simply think it is disgraceful.
"Sea view"
My crossing was on a beautiful calm sunny day and I was disappointed that passengers were not allowed to go out on deck to enjoy the view and fresh air.
"Happy Jorney"
Very good service the ferry was comfortable . The service at the bar was excellent too. Good job guys.
"Great experience!"
Everything went well. Comfortable seating, punctual service. Would definitely travel with Balearia again!
"Transport o.k. but otherwise ..... "
I missed the ferry that I booked on 27.06.2013 due to car accident on my way to the ferry. Had to buy a new ticket. Absolutelly unfair!!!
"Denia - Ibiza ferry crossing"
A perfect crossing, but a nit noisy. A lounge without a TV would ne nice.
"Hassle free travel to Ibiza"
The Balearia fast ferry from Denia to Ibiza town is one of the most pleasant ways to travel. The Garcia Lorca is a modern, comfortable ferry with good facilities and pleasant staff. Loading and unloading vehicles at both ports is quick. Travelling in the first class section was worth the extra €20 per person as it was almost empty, with plenty of airline type seats and a small but comfortable bar/coffee area with large windows facing the direction of travel. The toilets were very clean.
""
Balearia has built a wonderful ship (Denia), but the signs are not very good and perhaps this is because it is so new? It was very spacious under the ceiling and bad accoustics. Several bus loads of young people in there made staying there for just an hour very tiring. One stange thing was that driver and passenger had to check in separately. The passenger had to go through a security check where they searched his luggage. But the poor woman who was checking our tickets with a hand-held scanner was forced to stand outside the door in strong winds and "fight" with the tickets. Some of the cars were fully loaded and drove straight onto the boat without any control.... We paid extra for first class - Neptuno. But I don't know if it was worth €50 extra per person. The only advantage was that it was not so crowded as the more reasonable seats. In addition free drinks were included, as well as cakes and baguettes. The weird thing was that the bar by the economy seats had a bigger selection of baguettes and the bar staff even heated up the baguettes for the customers there. Around 15 TV monitors were placed on first floor to show films with very loud sound. The bar at the ship's aft showed football matches and the noise was extremely loud then. However, on the return trip ear plugs were able to purchase and this helped. The toilet facilities were very good, there were never any queues. In the bar there were a few 2- and 3- seats that were taken straight away by people who came there to sleep. The trip from Denia to Mallorca took 5.5 hours, including half an hour stopover in Ibiza. This was the only time passengers were allowed out on deck. After our return a few days later we all agreed that the overall experience was positive. A good way of bringing your car to the Baleares from the main land.
"Trip review"
We were a little late getting into Denia but apart from that the crossing was fine the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
"Ibiza to Palma crossing"
Departure with a 10 min delay and arrival with a 15 min delay. You are forbiden to remain on the deck during the crossing. Fairly quiet and fast ferry.
"Good crossing"
WE booked several months in advance of the departure from Ibiza to Palma already booked. On the day, the tickets were collected, everything went smoothly, boat was in good condition, staff were helpful, ample seating in 1st class. We had a great sailing with Balearia!
"Excellent trip"
Perfect crossing, quick boarding, welcoming staff, punctual and comfortable.
"Perfect crossing"
Everything perfect as always.
"all ok "
Crossingmeets our expectations. Unfortunately, the technicians could not instal the pedestrian bridge in Palma and we had to wait 1/2 hour. "
"First time on Balearia - very impressed"
Travelled on Neptuno class seat from Ibiza to Mallorca as foot passenger. Booking process was easy as was check in and boarding. Friendly staff on board - Neptuno class recommended. Very efficient on disembarking. Will use Balearia again and would recommend.
"Mallorca / Ibiza Ibiza / Mallorca-crossings "
So we had not imagined it ..... had the ferry from the beginning a good 30 minutes late at the exit and then took the crossing even three hours instead of the specified 2.5 hours. The ship was very bedraggled. some overhead lights and windows rattled. constantly and permanently running loud TVs prevented us from taking a nap during the crossing. Shortly after leaving the port, one was literally forced from the personal from the deck into the interior spaces, then we should stay behind closed doors until the arrival. Having a view over Ibiza Town in the evening sun was therefore unfortunately not possible. The return journey then took also again three hours instead of the specified 3 hours. All in all a very sobering thing for a lot of money.
"Ok for short crossing"
It was ok for the short crossing.
"Palma-Ibiza crossing"
Very good company (prices, service). Pity that the only Palma - Elvissa crossing is at 8am early May, which can be difficult if you are not based in Palma…. The same company also seem to do crossings around Ibiza/Formentera.
"Parasites on board"
Flees on board. Dogs must have caught them in the kennels, Kennels were not clean and dogs didn’t get any water.
"Unwanted noise on an otherwise perfectly run ferry "
I travel back and forth between Portsmouth and Caen on Brittany ferries regularly as I have a home in Normandy -so ferries are a part of my life and have been for more than 25yrs. The crossing I made with Balearics was absolutely what I expected and perfectly good in every way except for one glaringly upsetting detail . My ticket included seats in the sirena lounge (I hadn't been able to figure out how to get any alternative from the website)and sadly I and my fellow passengers were bombarded with the soundtrack of a second rate film dubbed into Spanish for the entire duration of the trip .One of the Spanish passengers managed to persuade the member of crew on duty to lower the volume but after about an hour of semi peace (after a 13 hour drive ) the sound was inexplicably put up again . There were no earphones available for passengers and this was the reason rendered by the crew member for the soundtrack having to be put out on loudspeaker. I have to say it badly affected the trip in terms of enjoyment. In a closed -in situation like that where one cannot go out on deck -frankly it was little short of torture. Please pass this on to the relevant party as it would definitely affect my choice of ferry in future All best Larry Lamb
"Top marks for the staff "
Excellent through out and compliments to the staff, including the ones who sorted out my ticket. Thank you.
"One day Ibiza"
Sadly there is no possibility in the seating to read a book or to sleep, as the televisions are extremely loud. There should be an area without this forced tv noise. The seat are quite worn down. The crossing time of 2.5 hours is good and also manageable for a day trip.
