Canna Guide

Canna Ferry Port

Forming the westernmost part of the Small Isles archipelago belonging to Scotland, Canna Port represents a population of less than 100 people, indicating its prominent activity is the shipping industry. The island occasionally attracts visitors due to its unusual wildlife, boasting sea eagles, golden eagles and puffins. Canna Port only serves to two other ports; Mallaig and Rum. Both crossings last roughly two hours and are supplied by Hebridean and Clyde Ferries, the sole company in the area. The largest vessel is relatively new and has room for just under 200 people and around 14 cars. There is food and drink available on board the vessel for the passengers to purchase.

Rum Guide

Rum Ferry Port

The Rum ferry terminal sits in a large natural bay on the east coast, approximately one mile from the famous Kinloch Castle. As it's a small harbour without an unattended slipway, tickets should be purchased on board. The terminal building has a small waiting room with a few seats and, for refreshments, there is a shop and post office within walking distance. What Rum lacks in beaches and prehistoric wonders, it more than makes up for with stunning hiking trails and unspoilt backdrops, so you’re guaranteed plenty of superb views during your visit.
