Cebu City Ferry Port

Cebu Port is the largest domestic port in the Philippines; situated on the east coast it borders the Mactan Channel, a narrow strait between Cebu and the Mactan Islands. Cebu Port belongs in Cebu City, the oldest city of the Philippines and the country’s first capital. Over the years it has transcended into a hub of activity, with many tourists flocking over to witness its historic monuments and stunning architecture. Being a purely domestic port, Cebu Port only serves to other islands belonging to the Philippines. Five companies are in operation from Cebu Port, all offering daily crossings to Bohol Island Port, Cagayan De Oro Port, Danao Port and Ilo-ilo Port. Each ferry route runs around one or two times per day, typically leaving in the early morning and lasting for around two hours. What is there to do in Ozamiz City?

Ozamiz City is one of the lesser known areas belonging to the Philippines, but the ideal location and tranquil atmosphere, especially surrounding the port, make it an increasingly desired travel destination. The city is decorated in beautiful greenery and alluring parks; Mount Malindang Natural Park is a particular highlight, offering challenging walking trails and breathtaking views that are worth the trip alone to Ozamiz. Alternatively, Naomi Botanical Gardens and Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park both offer a pleasant setting to while away a few hours. The array of parks and mountainside may paint Ozamiz City as a place that’s only suited for hiking, but plenty of history and culture is dotted around the city centre. Cotta Fort is typically top of the itinerary for most tourists, and to witness the unique architecture synonymous with the city then a walk around the centre showcases the variety of interesting buildings.

How do visitors get around Ozamiz City?

The main form of transport around the city are jeepneys, a shared taxi similar to a pick-up truck, that provide very cheap services. Alternatively there are buses, but they tend to be unreliable and can oftentimes be confusing for new visitors, or for convenient and quick journeys there are pedicabs readily available.
