Elbferry

Elbferry GmbH & Co. KG is a company based in Brunsbüttel operating ferry crossings that connects Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein across the Elbe river. Since March 2021, Elbferry has been offering ferry trips between Brunsbüttel and Cuxhaven.

The Elbferry’s Greenferry I has been modernized in Norway and designed to be particularly environmentally friendly. In contrast to other ferries, Elbferry’s Greenferry I is operated with liquid gas, which significantly reduces its CO2 emissions.

Greenferry I is unique with its dimensions, which ensure low swell: around 212 cars and 28 trucks can be transported on just one crossing with Elbferry. The passenger capacity is up to 600 people.

During your trip with the Elbferry’s Greenferry I, you can enjoy on-board gastronomy in restaurant quality and a wonderful panoramic view over the Elbe.

Elbferry operates up to 6 sailings daily between Brunsbüttel and Cuxhaven. The crossing takes around 1 hour.
