"Ferry Mykonos to Raffina"
Amazed that we got the ferry we had actually booked Comfortable seats on board though unable to locate the ones we were allocated. Didn’t matter as there were lots of seats Once again getting on and off was chaotic as no organisation for leaving your luggage It is a case of finding a space and leaving it till you pick it up when leaving. However this has been the same on all the ferries we took on our holiday island hopping
"Dry travel"
Comfy clean and on time service. Was great to have an indoor seat, much nicer and warmer than the blue star ferry we got on the way back, though you might want to bring a jumper and some longer leg trousers as it was still a bit cold. But at least it was completely dry!
"Delayed Mykonos/Naxos "
Ferry was great ,normal chaos boarding /disembarking....but if you use the ferries in greece than you will be accustomed to this ... We encountered a THREE HOUR DELAY ... leaving Mykonos to Naxos and no one at any point gave any information or apology for this long delay ,which was sooooo frustrating, especially when we now recieve so many email alerts and messages ..had we known we could have stayed longer in resort and had evening meal .
"Fast but cold "
Everything fine except check in with 3 different mobile phones doesn’t work. Scanners not able to go back to booking reference when even working in the first place! Then main lower deck/cabin far too cold.
"Two hour delay "
The ferry was over two hours late arriving at Naxos. We received no information or explanation whilst waiting in the blazing sun. Many customers were becoming convergence about missing their onward flights from Mykonos. Disappointing- much more information was needed.
"Pas d'accès extérieur"
Pas d'endroit sécuritaire pour les bagages, pas d'escalier roulant, aucun accès à l'extérieur pendant la traversée. Ok pour de courts trajets.
"We love ferries"
The seating is very comfortable with helpful staff around to help in what was a very busy sailing. We loved the Greek cheese pies and they help make your journey a pleasant experience.
"Ferry service"
I feel very satisfied by the service received on the Golden Star Ferries. I would highly recommend it to anybody.
"Direct ferries "
Apart from being nearly 30 minutes late
"Fast and efficient"
We travelled to and back between Mykonos and Naxos on Golden Star Ferries. Having travelled regularly on Brittany Ferries to France we were most impressed with the speed of loading and unloading and the comfort on board - and are happy to forgive them leaving late on both occasions!
"Greek o'clock"
Timings are not strict and can change. We were texted that our ferry back would change vessels and arrive early (The locals thought this was hilarious!) Generally speaking no ferry is on time. It is usually between 30-45 mins late but very swift in boarding and disembarking. Signage at ports is unclear - you have to read the digital scroll on the boat to figure out where it's going as staff are hurried and English is not reliable.
"Late and overpriced "
Both trips were delayed- one by more than 40min, the other by 20. No apologies, no announcements. Just lots of frantic passengers waiting in the heat. Very annoying; I missed an important Skype meeting I had scheduled as a result. Staff on the ferry curt and brash. Programming on TV violent animal Programmes which disturbed my nephew so much that he had nightmares for three days.
"Ferry Eventually Arrives and departs 1hr LATE"
We arrive 45min before departure, and waited a further 30min for the ferry arrival, and on other 30 Mon,before departure, loading our luggage was pandomonic, the ferry Stunk of Diese, the temperature in the dating area was boiling hot, THREE request for the AC to be switched on where ignored. NO I would NOT travel with company again
"Good service in général "
Clean ferry, professionnal service, we liked the fact we could print our tickets. Departure on time, arrival 15 min later than what was advertised, witch is normal i think.
"Du retard...."
Le trajet s’est très bien déroulé mais lorsque nous avons acheté les billets, la durée de traversée annoncée était de 2h55. Au final, nous avons mis 3h25, et en partant à l’heure. Donc ne pas tenir compte des temps annoncés, rajouter toujours un petit peu plus
"Nice boat - over-optimistic schedule"
The Golden Star Super Speed is a very nice ferry - comfortable, modern, cool, smooth and reasonably quiet... when it eventually arrives. We travelled on it twice (Mykonos-Naxos, and back again a week later). Both times it was 1h15 late for a 45 minute journey. We observed it arriving in Naxos on another day during the week and it was equally late that day, too. This was in late May and the boat was around half full when we travelled on it. With more passengers to load/unload in peak season it can only get worse... Once on board, it's very pleasant.
"Very disappointed"
Our boat was cancelled without any mail or information to alarm us. We had a ferry at 6.15pm from Mykonos to paros and when we asked where can we took the boat, the person in charge answered us that the boat had technical problems and was cancelled. So we had to take another boat to syros where we had to wait 2 hours to take the last boat to go to Paros. We arrived at 11.20pm instead of 7.50 pm. We missed our free shuttel and had to take a taxi (35€) to go to our hotel. We have lost a night in paros, and money ! Could you fix this situation please ? Thanks in advance, Justine Navaro
"Very good service "
Both journeys were on time and both ships were very clean and all the staff were very helpful. We had to amend our return journey and this was done at the local office with no problem
