Rødne Fjord Cruise is one of the largest passenger ferry companies in Norway, offering routes from the city of Bergen on the west coast to Rosendal on the southern shore of the Hardangerfjorden.
They were established in 1956, making them one of the oldest companies in the region, too, having initially provided local transportation for schoolchildren. Rødne Fjord Cruise has since grown enormously, now offering the fastest available ferry route between Bergen and Hardanger, with daily departures running all year round.
The Hardangerfjord Express Boat service takes you on a two hour sightseeing tour through the incredibly beautiful fjords and lakes of western Norway. The ferry travels between Bergen and Rosendal, a town famed for its 17th Century Baroniet Manor House and estate which is known locally as the ‘smallest castle in Scandinavia’.
Rødne Fjord Cruise also provides crossings to Flesland, a small municipality of Bergen found just south of the city.
