  • "SEAJETS & DIRECT FERRIES: both very bad service & communication"

    Here's my experience with SEAJETS & DIRECT FERRIES: I've got a text message on Thursday that my boat on Saturday morning was cancelled and that I had to go to the office in the harbour of Rafina to change my ticket. Because the harbour is one hour by bus from Athens, I've tried to call and to send an e-mail them, but I didn't get any reply. So I went to the harbour what took my whole Friday afternoon and when I finally arrived I got another text message that there where no boats at all on Saturday due to the bad weather. The woman at the office wasn't very friendly and she said I had to book online another ticket for Sunday and ask Directferries for a refund. So I did, but I didn’t get a reply about my refund from Directferries either. And I booked the fast ferry for Sunday at 15.00 and should arrive 16.10 at Andros. On my way to the harbour I got another text message that my boat was cancelled, so I should take the Naxos jet at 16.00. It arrived on time, but then I was told the boat couldn’t leave due to the weather. So I had to take the slow boat next to it. That boat left at 17.00 and I arrives at 18.45 at Andros. Of course I understand that the ferry company is depending on weather conditions. But I’ve paid extra for the fast ferry and didn’t get a refund for my initial ticket from Directferries.

  • "An experience..."

    It started with a lack of clarity on the ticket as to which gate we needed to be at or where to wait for the ferry. This meant queuing for clarification at the office (there are two open at various times) with no shade and only 1 person attending to a huge queue of more passengers who didn’t have clear information either. We were already informed the ship was 30 mins late. This turned into 90 mins by the time we departed. There was no organisation when the ship arrived, a herd of passengers running off with luggage, no queue for us to get on orderly just basically a bundle and a struggle to get through, leaving our luggage unsecured downstairs in the car hold. We had seat numbers allocated on our tickets but when we got to the seating area we were told to sit anywhere. Thinking we had seats reserved we hadn’t rushed but now most seats were taken, luckily my partner and I got 2 seats together but others had to sit separately. Air conditioning is high on board too so really needed a jumper or something to keep warm - lesson learned there too. We eventually made it to our destination at least 2 hours after the ETA, due to the journey taking over an hour more than the estimated journey time. All in all, it was quite the experience. Maybe we were just unlucky but it still made for un-relaxing travelling.

  • "Very comfortable journey"

    We sailed on the 7.35 ferry from Ios to Santorini with Seajet. The journey only takes 40 minutes and we arrived in Santorini before the port gets too busy. I would highly recommend this route, time and particular ferry for anyone wishing to travel between these two islands. The boat docks in Ios the night before so you are guaranteed that this boat will depart on time in the morning! It was immaculately clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My only negative point is that we were two couples travelling together and we booked all our ferries as soon as they came out but yet we were all split up on each journey we made with seajet! Surely when booking so early, we should have been seated together?? Despite this, we will continue to choose seajet for our island hopping holidays

  • "Milos to Sifnos"

    Forgot to print my boarding ticket for this trip whilst in Mykonos with our other booking but not a problem. Just went to RIVA on the port just to the left of some restaurants. Walked in with some trepidation after reading a scathing review! — but great staff and helpful, i just handed my phone over and they product the 2 boarding tickets no charge( unlike the ticket booth in Mykonos a small 1 or 2 € fee but not a problem) Keep an eye on time changes for your boat and go by the name of the boat on your ticket, its simple! PS they can be late even the first boat out. You just arrive in time, staff will call the boat name then join the throng to board! Ask if your unsure unlike a family of 3 who with a bit if reversing were ejected from the board, quite amusing! I booked our seats in club as high season was upon us, relatively empty up there but much more pleasant. Naturally someone had decided to sit in our allocated seats but we just sat in another, our trip was only 50 minutes so no issue. Wether they were moved on later it would be someone else's problem i was on holiday so chilled. (no need to be worked up as in other reviews, also everyone upstairs was a club passenger so also well organised) We have Done 2 trips so far both very comfortable and easily driven from the passenger point of view , bags stowage can be at the back only however 1st trip Mykonos to Milos had some in the middle? Bar service was very friendly and efficient.... holiday going very well — next trip in 8 days to Mykonos I expect a good voyage,

  • "4 hours late from Milos to Santorini"

    We were supposed to leave Milos at 7 pm, boat came at 8.30 pm, had a problem in Kimolos, we arrived finally a 2 am instead of 9.15 pm. At this hour in santorini, no more taxis, we were forced to take a transfer to thira for 60 euro (6 or 7 kilometers...) no comment, regards

  • "Never been treated more badly in my life"

    2h delays at departure. Technical problem in Serifos. Finally Athens reached with 6 jours delay. Rude officers personal, closed offices. No compensation of any kind. Please make sure to select another company !!!

  • "Sifnos jet - Folegandros to Piraeus"

    This was the worst ferry journey I have ever taken and, short of sinking, the worst that I can imagine. The journey was meant to take 4hr 55 mins but actually took 8 hours, on top of which the ferry was 45 minutes late starting the journey. The crew were not able to give any estimation of when we would arrive in Athens and we nearly missed our flight. There was nowhere to put bags/ suitcases and the sea was very rough so there were bags constantly falling across the cabin which felt quite dangerous. It was the first trip for this boat, and it seemed completely unsuitable for the route. The boat is much smaller than most other ferries. Within about five minutes of the journey people were being sick. During the journey about 90% of the passengers were sick at some point. The toilets were locked early on (presumably because so many people were sick!), so it was impossible to use them for the majority of the 8 hour journey. At one point one of the side doors onto the deck came open while the boat was rocking wildly. I felt sorry for the staff who had to deal with the situation.

  • "A late boat "

    The boat was planned to leave at 20.35, however there was a late change to the schedule which meant the boat should leave at 21.15. We finally got away at 21.55.

  • "Never buy tickets for SeaJet! Constant delays. "

    Seajet was delayed by half and hour at first (text sent) , should've departed at 15.30, then said 15.45, then they texted saying it's delayex till 17.45, at the port the office worker said it'll arrive at 6.30, but it only arrived around 7pm and was standing at the port until 8pm. Instead of getting to Santorini at around 22.00 we got there at almost 3am. Seriously? The ferry was shaking a lot, some people got seasick. Could've taken a plane and save time and money as this ferry service is a joke! Staff are mostly rude! Want my money back!
