"Fun trip!"
I took the ferry from Riga to Stockholm, an overnight trip. It was about the price as to fly and way more fun. There was entertainment and duty free shopping. Also, as a single traveler, I had my own cabin and bathroom. After some noisy hostels, it great to have a silent bunk! There were great places to hang out on the decks, but also lots of casual seating inside. I enjoyed the trip, and it was easy to get a city bus to the train/bus station at Stockholm city center. The ship left the pier on time and docked to minute of the projected time. I was impressed
"On time & basic "
Rooms on level 2 should not be allowed. Smell very musty as I think old carpet. Rooms are even below car decks. Unable to sleep.
"Riga-Stockholm"
Nice ferry. A very large number of small children who were allowed to run wild through the night, jumping around and screaming in the corridors. Good catering with reasonably priced options for dinner and breakfast (sold by weight which was novel).
"Pretty Darn Good Ride from Stockholm to Riga"
We had a de luxe outside cabin (9306) which was amidship port side. Good views of the archipelago on the outbound from Stockholm. The accommodations were very good, no complaints. The food was first-class; we ate in the Grand Buffet which well-worth it (endless beer and wine). The breakfast the next morning was also excellent. Our only complaint is that coffee is not served until 8AM and it was needed at 6AM! There has to be a way to have coffee earlier than 8AM because some of us get up earlier and need a couple of cups to get it in gear, and so not having the coffee until 8AM simply is not acceptable--6AM would be a good time to start with the coffee service as 8Am is too late. Get it with the coffee service? Again, a nice ride.
"Isabelle Riga to Stockholm return"
A wonderful way to travel between Riga and Stockholm. Lovely ship, good facilities, friendly staff.
"GOOD TRIP"
EVERYTHING WAS GOOD
"Stockholm to Riga"
We had an excellent trip. The room was clean and comfortable. Food was reasonably priced and the ship arrived on time. The price of passage was higher than a similar trip from Copenhagen to Oslo
"Very nice! "
I took the trip from Riga to Stockholm in a B class cabin and it was lovely. The buffet was amazing, so much vegan food! The cabin was nice, very small but that is expected on a ship. It was very good for the money, cheaper than a hotel in Stockholm and as it includes the trip that's pretty great. Wifi was not very good, you need to be in the common areas or presumably higher cabins to use it, but that is my only complaint.
"Ferry Stockholm to Riga"
We booked our trip whilst in the U.K.. Check in at Stockholm was simple as was the bus journey from the city centre. We were very pleased with our "inside" cabin and it's en suite. We had not expected the facilities and entertainment provided and really enjoyed our journey- it was a mini cruise and one of the holiday highlights. We shall repeat the trip next year.
"Ferry Stockholm to Riga"
The trip was excellent, I would recommend it and will definitely be using the ferry again.
" The only way to travel to Riga"
In mid October my wife and another couple travelled from Stockholm to Riga by Ferry. We read reviews that food and drink were expensive but we found them to be reasonable. The entertainment on board was excellent as was the room accomodations. Sailing was smooth and time went by quickly. If given the opportunity it is the only way to travel.
"A pleasant and comfortable journey."
This is a well appointed ship with something for every type of traveller - entertainment, shopping, etc. As a single passenger with only the need to make a relaxing transition from one port to another, I found it ideal. Helped by balmy autumn weather and a calm sea, the crossing felt effortless. The cabin was an internal one and somewhat small but adequate as I had it to myself - it was built to accommodate two people and that would have been cramped. I enjoyed a good night's sleep. The meals I had were excellent and not over-priced. Overall I was very pleased with my experience.
"Excellent crossing"
I appreciated the kindness of the staff who helped me changing the tire of my car before boarding. Amazing the first few hours of the journey trought the Stockholm archipelago.. All perfect.
"A lovely surprise !"
We very much enjoyed our trip from Stockholm to Riga on the ship Isabelle. The staff were very pleasant and the facilities were well organized ,we ate very well..also our cabin was impeccably clean . Thank you. There was plenty of entertainment if you wanted it, but, as we had excellent weather we were mostly on deck enjoying the beautiful Islands of the archipelago.
"Riga to Stockholm .. What a delight "
Driving back from Russia to England we opted to take the more scenic route through Scandinavia thus securing a place on the Tallinn silja ferry from riga to Stockholm.. I'm not normally that guy that writes reviews but I make the exception here today .. What a beautiful ferry with a cracking variety of activities taking place all through the night .. Initially planned on having a couple of pints and a nice lie in but ended up dancing the night away at the nighttime disco and drinking whiskey with a few chaps in the skylight bars till the early hours .. Still suffering from the hangover a week on but well worth it !
"stockolm to Riga, lovely trip"
Stockholm to Riga, lovely trip
"Travel with the worst boat from Riga"
I did not like the ship very much. First of all our cabin underneath car deck was not clean and had stains on the wall. We upgraded and paid for a better cabin. Not many activities on board.
"Review"
We think it was a very nice ferry. Good service and friendly staff
"A Trip Highlight"
Crossing the Baltic on the Esabelle is the only way to get from Stockholm to Riga (or vice-versa) if you appreciate stress-free, leisurable travel. The ship is laden with bars and restaurants, coupled with entertainment and a helpful and friendly crew, enabling you to wile away the time as you cruise into the sunset. Highly recommended.
"Excellent"
Everything was the best of the best.
"It was nice"
Everything was good, clean rooms, on time. Perhaps they should have a better breakfast menu in the cafè.
"Brits on the Riga to Stockholm"
Great trip
"Review"
We were 2 people travelling - me and my son. The trip to Latvia was better than expected due to the band that played. On the way back there was to our disappointment another band playing and they were a bit boring. The windows on the ferry should have been cleaner so you could get a better view. The food was good, the cake as well. There were fun activities for children and adults. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good experiences. We especially want to thank Dace who organised activities and made the evening more fun. Great girl who speaks many languages and if she doesn't know the language she handles the situation nicely and in an fun way. I was very happy to be able to take the bus home that was waiting at the port when we arrived. Very easy and comfortable. You don't have to muddle around with trains and several buses. Well done! I will travel again and recommend to others.
"Nice trip"
Good experience, ship and room very clean. Wonderful views as well. Recomended!
"17 hours of pure relax"
We really liket the Isabelle ferry. It was full of entertainment options and full of people but we could relax on our own and feel as if we were the only people in the ship, appreciating calmly the Swedish islands and the sunset. Later on we watched the band presentation and went to the lively nightclub before going to our cabin. Dinner was very nice, breakfast could be improved, but overall it was a nice experience that we would recommend to other people who are going from Stockholm to Riga.
"Nice trip"
We met nice and friendly staff
"The ship's amenities"
We thought it was a bit crowded in the cabins and the hallways, but the troubadours on board the ship were wonderful. We did not appreciate the music in the dancing bar, but we are older people who prefer to dance swing. The contest was fun and exciting, otherwise a good trip.
"Smooth sailing!"
Excellent service from start to finish. Check in fast and efficient, great facilities on the boat. The cabin was more than adequate and clean. The only negative was the restaurants were very pricey for us Brits, but probably normal for the Scandinavian markets that they mostly serve.
"Good way to travel"
Enjoyed the trip but not the bedding. A fitted sheet would be so much nicer than the way the bedding is now.
"My ferry trip to Latvia"
On a ship like this, it is environmentally friendly travel! The restaurants were pleasant and the staff very friendly, no complaints.
"Stockholm to Riga"
We really enjoyed our voyage on the Isabelle. The room was comfortable and there were lots of activities to keep us busy such as live music & entertainment, disco, dance lessons, kids play areas, information session etc. Considering the price of the ticket, it was fantastic value for money. Our only criticism is that the meals at the restaurants were expensive.
"Backpacker Experience"
We were four people from México traveling around several countries for 12 days, so we decided to travel from StockHolm to Riga on a ferri. I loved all the stuff and activities that the crew of Isabelle perform for our entreteinment. The best part of the night was the club, because they played good music and the drinks were cheap.

"Isabelle: Stockholm to Riga - Good"
We had a good trip on the Isabelle. It was our first experience on a large ferry and we were uncertain as to what would be available on board. We were pleasantly surprised. There was a large restuarant area, bars, night club, Duty Free Shop and well....we weren't left wanting for anything. The Captain and Crew made it feel like a festive trip. We had a doulbe berth cabin which I thought was very good value.
"Ferry Riga to Stockholm"
We recently travelled from Riga, Latvia to Stockholm, Sweden as a family group of 4 in our 60's. We shared a 4 berth cabin which we found to be more than adequate as the time on board is only overnight and there are lots of activities. Variety of eating and drinking facilities on board and varying price range. There is also the possibility of travelling with pets as they have large sand trays for their use. Duty free facilities are available as well.
