The high speed fast ferry Condor Express has space for 741 passengers and 175 cars and features a computerised ride-control system resulting in the smoothest possible journey. Facilities include spacious lounges, reclining seats, café, bar, duty free shop and a children’s TV room.

This guide is applicable only for when the ship was operated by Condor Ferries and this information should not be used as a guide for the ships current or future operations:

Onboard Cabins / Reserved Seating

There are no cabins onboard the Condor Express however comfortable and guaranteed pre-assigned seating is provided on all sailings with a choice of lower or upper deck seating. Relaxing reclining seats are available for a small supplement. For a bit of extra luxury and affordable comfort, book a Condor Ferries Club Class seat. These seats are in a private lounge area featuring tables for work or relaxation, steward service, complimentary newspapers and a selection of snacks and hot drinks.

Onboard Food and Drink

Onboard the Condor Express you’ll find a high quality cafeteria-style menu with a great choice and value on every sailing. Menu features a range of hot meals and snack including a wide selection of filled baguettes and sandwiches, hot and cold breakfasts, healthy salads, a choice of tempting desserts as well as a good selection of hot and cold drinks. The Condor Traveller bar and shop is located on the upper deck and features a wide selection of soft drinks, alcoholic drinks including wine and beer.

Onboard Shopping

As the Channel Islands are treated as being outside of the EU you’ll be able to shop duty free onboard the Condor Express. You'll be amazed at the range of quality branded products available including beauty, cigarettes & tobacco, confectionery, fashion accessories, fragrance, gifts, spirits, toys, games, travel essentials, wines and beers.

Travelling with Children

Children can enjoy the viewing deck where they can watch the ferry pull away and make its onward journey. There is also a soft seated children’s area to keep them entertained throughout the journey where they can watch DVD’s. For convenient access to the onboard facilities it is advised that passengers travelling with children should request seating on the lower tier.

Accessibility

For passengers of limited mobility, disabled lifts provide access to and from the car decks and easy-to-use internal lifts provide access to toilet facilities, baby changing and the children's room. Disabled passengers or those with reduced mobility must request seating on the Lower Tier. There are anchor points for wheelchairs and seats with flexible arm rests. Assistance is available at the port and onboard however you must inform us at the time of booking if you anticipate needing assistance when travelling with Condor Ferries.

"Sleeping arrangements"

I cannot fault direct ferries for their service,I write this review simply to urge passengers who wish/need to arrive in Portsmouth ready to face a long drive on the motorways not to rely on the use of the reclining seats for a good nights rest. Although they are reasonably comfortable for an hour or two, they do not recline sufficiently to support the body for sleep.

We travelled Club Class, which was comfortable, though expensive. We received complimentary cookies and beverages (tea and coffee, etc.). Food was delivered to our table. Staff were very kind and helpful. The trip was rough in one portion, otherwise easy. The ferry was on-time leaving and arriving.

Booking and trip were very straight forward. Only downside was the smokers area outside the reclining seat area we paid extra for. Continual banging of the sliding door access could have been a lot more wearing if the weather had been more inclement than it was. The outward trip was made more enjoyable by the air sea rescue helicopter practice which took place. I don't think this is part of every trip.

We found taking the fast ferry to Guernsey very easy - checking in and boarding was a breeze, our time on board was comfortable and the kids had a great time. The return journey was also the same. Thanks to the crew at the terminal and on board for making it so easy and enjoyable.

Excellent trip both ways. It was just unfortunate that the car got scraped on the ship, by who we do not know.

Trip from poole to guernsey from driving on to driving off very relaxing. Return trip however started with car being loaded in such a way that it was only possible to get out of passenger door would have thought the staff would no how to load by now. Rest of trip very relaxing.

I was very impressed with all aspects of my journey. I found the ferry spacious and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. There was a very good range of catering outlets providing a good variety of food and drink. I shall certainly use Condor again!

My wife and I absolutely loved our ferry trip to Guernsey. The trip was smooth and our club accommodations were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We plan to do it again!

The choice of using the fast ferry service to Guernsey entirely justified the premium cost over and above the normal ferry service. The efficiency of the service in every aspect was second to none.
