One of Moby Lines new generation 'Fast Cruise Ferries', the Moby Freedom has huge vehicle and passenger capacity and a wide range of onboard facilities including numerous cabins and suites, a choice of places to eat and drink, a swimming pool with sundeck, children’s play area and much more.
All cabins on the Moby Freedom are air-conditioned and en-suite and come in a choice of inside or sea view (‘outside’). There are also 'Junior Suites' which take up to 4 people and a reserved seating area equipped with coach style seats.
There’s no shortage of places to eat and drink onboard the Moby Freedom! In the à la carte restaurant chefs create delicious menus using local Mediterranean recipes while in the self-service restaurant there's a range of freshly cooked delicious dishes, including a fun children's menu. Authentic Italian pizza is available at the pizzapoint and there is also a choice of cafeteria, a snack bar and an ice cream parlour. If you want to have a drink while you're topping up your tan then the Lido Bar on the sundeck is the place for you or if you want a relaxing evening sipping cocktails then head to the Piano bar. You'll also find a coffee shop and a sports bar where you can catch up with the latest sporting events on a big screen TV in great company and with your favourite drinks.
You can buy just about anything in the Moby Freedom shopping centre including clothing, confectionary, children’s toys, maps, magazines and books.
In addition to the facilities already mentioned, the luxurious cruise ferry Moby Freedom features a swimming pool with sundeck, panoramic lounge, kennels for domestic pets and satellite television.
For children, travelling with Moby Lines will be a trip into the world of imagination, not least due to the Looney Tunes branding and figures which can be found everywhere onboard. Moby Lines Moby Freedom ferry has a dedicated 'Children's World' play area. The videogames rooms are bursting with games for older children and teenagers too.
If you will require assistance during your trip then you must specify this at time of booking and ensure that you arrive at the port at least two hours before the departure time to discuss requirements with the check-in staff to ensure that your vehicle can be parked within easy reach of access ways and assistance provided during boarding and disembarkation.
Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our Moby Freedom guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.

"Genova Bastia"
We were really happy to travel with Moby Lines, really nice and helpful staff, good food.
"good"
good the service on board and nice the staff. But they close the toilets to clean them just before arriving at the port. Too expensive
"trip to Sardinia"
all perfect, excellent accomodation, comfortable and relaxing trip, specially for children
"Genua (Italy) to Bastia (Corsica)"
We arrived too early at the port. Above the "gathering area" is a small shopping centre where passengers can stretch their legs. We had not checked in online, so that had to be done at the port. It was nice that they immediately checked us in for the return trip. Boarding went well: enough staff to guide you to the correct parking spot. Unfortunately the weather was bad during the night crossing, which affected the movement of the ship. This made it impossible to sleep. The return trip was actually even better because Bastia has a much smaller port. TIP: Be on time! The boat leaves eaxctly on time: In Bastia one of the passengers and a car arrived late and he wasn’t allowed to board because the gate was closed and the ship was getting to leave. Despite the negative reports about the high prices if a change has to be made e.g. changing a registration number, which was the case for us as we showed up with a different car, the trip was nice. We tried to change it online but it turned out to be very expensive. We then sent an email and got a reply informing us that the registration number can be changed without any penalty.
"beautiful"
I had a relaxing day, very beautiful ship
"Holiday goer"
We didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be a very nice trip. The ship was nice and everything was nicely arranged, from the time you drive on board to the moment you leave.
"the journey was confortable"
The journey was confortable. Thank you and see you soon.
"Genoa /Bastia with Cabin"
We travelled as four from Genova to Bastia with Moby lines on the an overnight crossing and we had a cabin. The cabin was spacious and clean, furnished with towels and soap. The ship was beautiful and full of stuff to do. Excellent journey
"Comment regarding the return crossing between Genoa and Olbia"
Everything went well. Nothing to complain about regarding the ammenities. It was perfectly punctua. I didn't test the food
"The hazard of the wind"
A very agitated first crossing during the night between the 10th and 11th September, because of a storm. It's not MOBY's fault. They measured up to the situation. The inbound crossing was wonderful, with a calm sea. These are better conditions to enjoy the cuisineand the sevice of the restaurant, which makes a great spread. However, breakfast (an Italian collatione with fruit juice, yogourt, deli meat, jam and croissant) is really overpriced.
"the outbound journey was ok, the inbound journey was perfect"
For the outbound journey, the ferry was almost 2 hours late. And as we didn't have a cabin, it was a very long crossing. The inbound journey was perfect however. We booked a cabin and the ferry was exactly on time. The wifi wasn't working for us though. A good trip overall.
"Mody wonder"
Lovely ship very clean spacious would travel with this line again.
"Post trip"
No problem. Everything went well. Thanks
"Crossing from Genova to Olbia and return"
Good and punctual service to Olbia
"A Genoa-Bastia crossing with Moby lines"
It was punctual, the members of the crew were available, a problem free crossing.
"Perfect if you live in Italy"
The boats offered good services. However, I wouldn't go through Italy to go to Corsica again (the fare for the tunnel, the tolls and the fuel all add up to 400€ return). You have to take this into account for your budget.
"Air conditioning"
in August, I've travelled on the Genoa-Olbia crossing. I booked a reserved seat and found out that it was located in a deserted area under the garage. I couldn't breath as there was no air. I couldn't go to the bar because there was no lockers where I could leave my luggage. The staff on board suggested to move to the restaurant lounge on the 6th floor. But the temperature was so low that, despite wearing all clothes available, I spent my holidays ill.
""
I am very satisfied with your company. The boarding was very efficient and organised by a competent staff. Despite leaving a bit late, we arrived on time. The staff aboard is also pleasant and efficicient. I don't have anything bad to say.
"Crossing to Sardinia 2013"
Very well organized and efficient, It is my first crossing to Sardinia. The only negative aspect was the late arrival of the ferry
"Genua - Olbia"
Clean sea view cabin, including bathroom with lovely shower. Had a nice dinner in the self service restaurant before departure. No complaints. Boarding and disembarking goes super quick! In all: value for money recommendation!
"Genoa Bastia summer 2013"
A very good value for money, a nice boat for the kids. The port in Genoa is a bit of a mess. Come early.
"August 2013."
I made the crossing with MOBY, the cabins were clean, the schedule was respected. The staff was helpful
"News for everyone who wants to cross by ferry."
We want to let everyone know that we are very pleased with our Moby Line tickets booking through DirectFerries.
"Expensive"
A very good trip. Very expensive though for a 4 people family and a big car. Moreover, we were planning to take a rooftop which increased the price of the ticket, but changed our mind. We tried to modify the booking, but couldn't
"Chivitavecchia - Olbia"
Good choice. Good price. We checked at the desk at Civitavecchia and we were 12 EUR cheaper by booking online.
"Sailing Genoa-Bastia and vice versa"
Good crossing from Genoa to Bastia with Moby Lines. Cabins were satisfactory, we arrived to Corsica well rested. But it was initially not clear where to check in and if the car could be parked somewhere. It eventually it turned out that there was parking available at the shopping centre next door where you can park your car 2.5 hours for free. Check in times were clearly posted when returning from Bastia to Genoa. This would have been useful on the confirmation sheets.
"Dogs and Families"
Comfortable, fun, and we loved all the dogs plus the family atmosphere.
"Perfect"
A good trip, a punctual departure both ways. The service on board was correct. The staff wasn't cheerful or affable, but it was competent. The ferry was well equiped for children with a playground, catering, etc.
"Genoa Olbia and back with a cycling group"
A perfect trip with a beautiful boat and two quiet nights in a cabin, an very early awakening!!
"Great Jorney"
We travelled on the month of July with Moby to Sardinia from Civitavecchia, both journeys with our car. everything was perfectly fine, from the services to the organisation in general. The bathrooms were clean, and the ship was really spacious, very helpful members of staff. Great Journey .
"To Sardinia travelling via ferry"
Good transport to Olibia, Sardinia if you're close enough you can combine your tour with a visit in Rome. Really quick crossing. If you wanted to rest while you were on the boat, you could rent a lounge chair.
"Advises"
We had a pleasant trip and all services on board, also for the little ones, allowed to spend a pleasant journey. I think they should have a member of staff to help passengers during the disembark operations, as there was too much confusion in the garage. I also noticed that many passengers, who didn't book any accommodation, were using the reserved seats area and, on many occasions, I found my seat occupied by someone else. Thanks
"A beautiful crossing"
Hello. It was our first crossing, everything went smoothly during both the outbound and the inbound journey. The only drawback was the self-service restaurant where we ate during the outbound journey. The dishes were cold and tasteless. During the inbound journey, we ate at the restaurant. It was perfect. Thank you.
"MOBY ferry"
I would like to praise Moby for the service provided (on both journeys) and for the kindness and availability of the staff on board. The next ferry trip will be certainly with Moby. Thanks
"An elderly couple"
Although it was a bit difficult to get to our cabin, boarding and arrival took place without a glitch. The restaurant and the service were excellent
"Very nice over night travel"
Everything was fine with your overnight travel with 2 children.
"Crossings Genoa. Olbia and back "
Everything ok.
"Farewell Moby Freedom!!"
I’m used to travel on this ferry on the Genova Bastia route going back to 2001 but Eckerö Line bought her in February 2012 and her sister ship, the Moby Wonder, has been transferred to another operator. It’s a shame because I liked them: big, comfortable and fast ferries. They’ve been replaced by Moby Fantasy, which is much smaller and less fast.
"Good trip"
Great cabins, kitchen not so great (the only negative point I found), staff is very willing to help and give information, entertainment is good and there is a nice atmosphere in the Piano Bar.
