"Comfortable ferry"
I have used the Tirrenia ferries to Sardinia a six times in the last 6 months and I would strongly recommend them. The ships are very comfortable and the service is efficient. Catering options are varied.
"good ferry"
without any problem, Super restaurant
"night crossing"
Good general services. Good cleaning. Good and competent staff. Excellent punctuality.
"Big positive changings "
Compared to few years ago Tirrenia really improved the service. Kindness and cleaning on board are really excellent!!
"Civitavecchia to Olbia"
Great experience all the way through from an easy online booking process to embarkation at the port. I booked a cabin for the overnight journey and was very impressed with the cleanliness and level of comfort for the basic cabin. I slept well and woke up on approach to Olbia port. Great on time running and easy disembarkation made this a great experience for a first time ferry cruiser. Highly Recommended. Note: I did not eat or drink as I bought my own... so can't honestly rate this aspect of the trip.
"With Dimonios"
Comfortable journey, but it is not fair that peolpe occupied seats with luggages or to lay down. We all shoul follow the rules!
"Could be better"
All good too bad the cars accomodation. I was one of the first to arrived at the port and they made me park in the first garage so I was the last one to get off. Plus it was really difficoult to go upstairs the 6th floor from the first. You should pay more attention on this things especially with older people, the staff should listen and consider the customers request.
"Nice boat"
Nice big boat, felt a bit more up market then the cross channel roros. Cabin was super. Food in the cafeteria was expensive and luke warm/cold. Arrived 30 mins late.
"Riturn from Spain"
Excellent journey, enviroments comfortable and clean, really comfortable 2 berth cabin, I will use it again.
"Civitavecchia-Olbia/Olbia -Civitavecchia"
All went perfectly
"Relaxing way to travel"
Enjoyable trip. Services and facilities were of a high standard. Highly recommended.
"very good"
easy the online booking. I'll use it again
"A journey to Sardinia "
The outbound crossing was average, the inbound crossing was great. During the check-in, the staff was available and understing before the outbound crossing, but very "aggressive" before the inbound crossing. The boat we travelled on the way there was very basic, however, the one we travelled on the way back deserves 10 out of 10, it was like a cruise ship! Moreover, the captain was available, always ready to answer our questions about the boat and patient with elderly people like my wife who don't know anything about those things.
"Civitavechia/Olbia"
Both of my recent voyages with Tirrenia were very enjoyable. The ships were clean and well staffed. The embarkation and disembarkation procedures were well managed. My only serious complaint is the danger created for me and other motorcyclists was the presence of oil and diesel on the vehicle deck which almost caused me to fall on two or three occasions. The crew were aware of the danger but took no steps to remove it. Tirrenia need to address this problem by directing the crew to remove oil/diesel with powder or other means. Apart from that all my trips have been enjoyable.
"From Civitavecchi to Arbatax"
We spend a couple of nights in Rome and continued our Holidays in Sardine. On arrival at the ferry terminal in Civitavecchi we had to deal with a bit of a culture shock. It is quite different from an airport terminal, with lots of overloaded cars and car wrecks (ready to travel to Africa?). Since it was a Holiday in Italy, the desk of Tirrenia didn't open till 17:15, whilst the ship was to leave at 19:00. For some reason, standing in the line at the desk took long. We travelled on the Amiscora. It was well organised and cars for Arbatax were seperated in a smart way from the cars continuing to Cagliari. We had a cabin on board which was very good. The room was clean, spacious, with good beds and a pleasant shower. There were not to many people on board, so sufficient room to move around on the ship which felt in many respects like travelling on a cruise. We arrived well on time at 5 am on Sardine, were we now had a full and long day to spend. I would certainly recommend this way to travel to Sardine.
"Civitavecchia Cagliari and return"
I found the journey really expensive. I think there will be less and less people who would be willing to pay for it in the future. Especially in this particular historical period, they could make an extra effort in order to promote the activities related to Sardinian tourism.. I spend almost 5000 euro in Sardinia ove a month and customers like me should be encouraged to take the journey ,for example by giving them a discount instead of increasing the prices of the trip for a services which are not so efficient.
"Average ferry"
the general conditions were kept, i.e. the ferry left on time and got me where i wanted to go. unfortunately the staff didn’t act very helpfully. just one spoke (at least a little) english, the others didn’t even try to understand me. (i’m austrian, i don’t expect anyone in Italy to learn my language but English can be expected - in particular in tourism). Also the toilets weren’t perfectly clean and the locks on all (just 2) booths were broken. just one bathroom was usable, all the others were locked. i guess the cabins are better but also more expensive.
"great experience "
Great ferry with large rooms. Great crossing. next time again with you.
"Early arrival"
We left Civitavecchia in the evening of a Friday to arrive early on the Saturday morning in Arbatax. The ship was more than comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful as we do not speak very good Italian. The cabins were comfortable and immaculate. The engines were not noisy and we soon hit the pillow as the arrival in Arbatax was at 5am. Before we knew it we had arrived...great! The only problems we ever have using the ferries to Sardinia, and this includes all companies, is why can't there be some way of noticing there are English passengers on a voyage and remember to speak in English at all announcements. It starts off well but forget them on arrival, the most important time when we need to know what the company wants us to do.
"no wifi"
Everything was good, but no WiFi and very expensive beer.
"very well organized crossing "
We have felt ourselves very well, information was clear, great compliment!
"An excellent crossing"
we didn't have any meals on board, so we cannot rate it. The ferry was very good though, we'll be pleased to take it again
"A great way to travel to Sardinia"
We were impressed with the amenities on the ferry. Travelling overnight in October, the pool wasn't open, but it looked like it would be fun in the summer. The staff was pleasant and the food in the dining room looked good. We ordered a tasty sandwich from the bar in the lounge, before retiring for the night on a chair in the salon. The chairs do not recline. We noticed that many people seemed to sleep on the sofas in the lounge.
"journey in ferry"
Excellent Journey on this ferry. Happy to recommed this ship and direct ferries service to anyone!
"Ferry: Olbia - Genoa "
It was all right. What I felt awkward was that I could only get a confirmation from the Internet booking / print. Contrary to your description in the booking confirmation I could not be issued during check-in that ticket. So I had to let my ticket still on Tirrenia switch the port to print in Olbia - this is now easier, as I can print out my ticket from the Internet.
"upgrade "
free upgrade from 1st class seats booked in cabin Cagliari Civitavecchia; cumbersome handling (online ticket had yet to be converted into scannable ticket in the opposite office); unfriendly staff on board
"well traveled "
The two crossings were fine. Unfortunately we booked without cab - on the way back were unfortunately no longer available cabins, but it is our fault.
"Trip Civitavecchia-Cagliari and return"
Excellent trip, comfortable cabin comparing to other operators. Only flaw: in Cagliari the port office was overcrowded and the boarding procedures too long. Regards
